It's the end of the training camp, we are leaving for Georgia tomorrow. La version française sera écrite très prochainement
Evening readers,
Lectrices et lecteurs bonsoir,
We are leaving tomorrow! My Florida training camp really went by fast, I can’t believe it’s already over. I’m sorry I haven’t written in my journal for a while. Training was hard and time consuming, but the real reason is this website addictinggames.com. Congrats to Mark, Angus and Steve Jorens for the completion of the 30 levels at Hardestgameever game. I have been stuck at the 17 despite my several hours spent on the game.
We have already started packing and realized that we accumulated a lot of stuff here. We considered jamming the giraffes in our Mazda van with the head sticking out. We also thought of strapping the necks on my sister’s roof racks, but we passed on those ideas mainly for safety issues. Because we needed a few more cubic meters to bring our new mattresses, our best option was to rent a U-haul trailer. Thanks so much to Chris Mehak and his dad for letting us use their Jeep.
On the other hand, I would like to say that training has been very good. I’ve been feeling pretty good lately, especially in C-2. I’m getting excited to race and to see how fast Andrew and I can paddle. All the way from now, it’s mainly a question of attitude towards the race. All the hard training is done, this coming week, our goal is to build up racing energy. During the whole camp we kept a positive attitude, it’s now time to gather everything together and put it all on the line.
Also very important topic: the Habs are on fire! Okay maybe not last night but I’m pretty sure we’ll be back tomorrow night. Just a question… How cool would I look with a Koivu spandex tight racing suit? I think I can shave off 3 sec over a 200m race if I was wearing it. I really am hoping for Adidas to get a line of paddling clothes with the Habs colors. Just a suggestion…
Tonight was our last meal at the Florida famous restaurant Thai Thai. I really enjoyed my Volcano roll plus lots more food I ordered. Even though we had to wait a little, Andrew knew how to entertain us initiating a great game of 20 questions.
It’s been a great training camp, I think it might be in my top 2 best ever Florida training camp. Hopefully it will show next weekend!
