Today we were up and at it pretty early, hitting the gym for some endurance weights. Its fun after doing a bunch of heavy sessions in the gym this week, to push up the tempo an crank of some reps. After an interlude for some school work Angus, Corey, Rhys and Myself packed up some boats and headed up to Meech Lake in Gatineau Park to enjoy the unseasonably warm weather we are having.
Corey, Angus and Rhys took there K-1's out for a lap of the lake, which was glassy and absolutely pristine in the late fall sunshine. I went for a great trail run, and then snuck out in Corey's folks wood canoe for a little spin to meet up with the boys on there way back in.
It was one of those amazing afternoon's when the warm sun seems to trick the land back a few months. When the sun seems to just hang on a few more minutes above the hills, just long enough to let us enjoy the fleeting final moments of the on-water season in Canada.
