Congratulations to Alexandre Bilodeau, who just won the Moguls event at Cypress Mountain in Vancouver. Alex's run was amazing, and has launched him instantly to hero status, as the first Canadian athlete to win an Olympic Gold medal on home soil!

Gold! Congratulations to Alexandre Bilodeau, who just won the Moguls event at Cypress Mountain in Vancouver. Alex's run was amazing, and has launched him instantly to hero status, as the first Canadian athlete to win an Olympic Gold medal on home soil! Tragedy in Whistler.
I was completely shocked and saddened by the tragic crash today in Whistler on the Luge track that took the life of young Nodar Kamaritashvili. My thoughts are with Team Georgia and Mr. Kamaritashvili's family.

Mark and I had a solid ski on Thursday morning....80 minutes hard and still smiling  This afternoon I went for a classic/backcountry ski with my dear mom, it was a perfect day to be out in Gatineau Park. This is the sun sinking over a frozen beaver pond.  Beautiful Ridge Road  Decked out for a fun ski on the big planks.  Mom super stoked she made it to the top of Penguin.  Ottawa from the top of Penguin, beautiful day.
